This week Miles celebrated his first Thanksgiving! This year we have a lot of be thankful for, but most of all we are thankful for being blessed with the new addition to our Thanksgiving table: Miles.
Miles is 9 months old and here are some milestone updates:
Eating: Still eating everything in sight. He enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs on his big brothers birthday and couldn’t get enough. He still enjoys baby food and his favorite are the fruit/oatmeal combos. His favorite table foods are avocado and raspberries. He really enjoyed his first Thanksgiving: he ate pouches of fruit and veggies, along with plenty from Grammy’s Thanksgiving feast. He are turkey, steamed green beans and especially loved the sweet potatoes. Miles still nurses sometimes but mostly takes bottles and likes to give himself a bottle.
This month Miles started clapping and it’s my absolute favorite milestone this month. He gets so excited when he claps that sometimes he squeals along with clapping.
Miles also now does “so big” and is so proud of himself when he does it. His big sisters love asking him “how big is Miles?” all day long.
Miles isn’t officially “crawling” but he sure gets around the house. He kind of scoots himself around while sitting upright. He also leans over and reaches for what he wants and then scoots himself towards it.
This month it seems like Miles’ hair is finally growing. It’s a lot thicker in the back than it has been and the sides are growing over his ears.
Miles loves being outside. We have had a really mild November, so we’ve spent many afternoons outdoors. No matter how big of a blanket I sit him on, he tries to scoot off of it or pull the blanket up so he can try and eat all of the grass and sticks. Here he’s eating pretzel, not a stick!
Miles loves to gives hugs and kisses now. If you ask for a kiss, he plants a giant one on your face with his mouth wide open. He hugs stuffed animals if they’re soft!
At 9 months, Miles is our smiley, happy boy and brings us joy every day!
Baby blanket from Etsy: Miles loves this blanket. It’s from the Etsy shop Seas the Day Sewing. We use it as a stroller blanket and to sit on and play. It is so soft and even says his name. (Pictured in photo of Miles in carseat and sitting on it in photo below).
Zutano Booties: I’ve had these for all of the kids. They are my favorite for wearing out in cold weather and also around the house. We have them in cotton and snuggly furry fleece ones. They snap closure lets you choose how tight, they are really easy to get on and they stay on. We just got some red velour for the Christmas season!
Boody: We got a few baby items from Boody to try and they are the softest baby clothes. They’re also, super stretchy, organic and really breathable. They make great baby basics including the only socks we have that actually stay on Miles’ feet. Boody has the cutest baby packaging I have seen and would make the perfect baby shower or new baby gift.
