Toddlers can be wild, crazy, stubborn, messy and irrational. They can also be super sweet, hysterical and entertaining. I remember when my girls were toddlers and they didn’t want to go anywhere without a costume on. The playroom was covered in tutus and tap shoes. Now, when the big sisters are at school, the newest toddler in the family likes to rule over the playroom in costume.
Tommy’s definitely at the wild and crazy toddler stage. His cheerful little personality makes me smile and as messy and exhausting as this stage is, I know how fast they grow out of it. Before I know it, Tommy will be in school just like his big sisters. At that point, we’ll have another toddler in the house: baby brother Miles.
Aside from the fun personalities of toddlers, one thing that’s important during this stage is the right shoes. Toddlers are so active and they’re growing so fast. Finding a safe, supportive shoe is really important to me. My shoes of choice, for all of the kids at this age, has been the Stride Rite. Their Toddler Soft Motion shoes are made specifically for toddler feet and I am confident in the quality of the brand. We’ve worn and loved a lot of Stride Rite shoes over the years but I can honestly say I think I found my favorite. The newest Stride Rite Soft Motion shoe, the Juice Pack is an awesome shoe for toddlers.
The Juice Pack features rounded soles for improved balance and they’re ultra-flexible to ensure little feet move naturally. They also have memory foam footbeds for comfort. They come in wide sizes which I need for Tommy’s feet. The Juice Pack also has an oversize openings for easy-on and secure closures to keep the shoes on. Tommy loves these shoes and the bright blue or “blue razz” matches his favorite outfit: a superman costume. Some of the other fun colors include: grape, blueberry, pink grapefruit and kiwi.
I would highly recommend the new Stride Rite Juice Pack Soft Motion shoes. If you want to order online, Stride Rite has a great page for sizing help (click here). Also, their Walking 101 has a lot of tips for choosing the right shoe.
