The Chirping Moms

The Philips Avent Anti-Colic Bottle

December 6, 2016

We’ve used so many bottles over the past 7 years. From the most basic to the most complicated, we’ve tried a lot. Over the past month, Miles has switched from taking a bottle “here and there” to bottles for almost every feeding. Since that meant needing a lot more bottles I was on the hunt for which to use this time around. In my “Moms group” text chain, a friend said she loved Avent bottles and there were no “extra pieces” to worry about. We tried them out and Miles loves them. I now know why my friend recommended them and also why Philips Avent is the #1 bottle brand.

Honestly, I wish I went with Avent bottles from the start with all 4 of my babies. There are a lot of things you hear about when starting to feed your baby: gas, colic, spit-up, fuss, burping, etc. Even though Avent bottles don’t have a ton of parts, the bottles help solve all of your feeding concerns. Their Anti-colic bottle is clinically proven to reduce colic and discomfort. The Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle now has a new look and name but it’s still the same classic bottle that moms have loved for years.

Here are a few features of the Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle:
· There is an Airflex venting system designed to reduce gas and colic by reducing air ingestion
· There are fewer parts which makes for easy cleaning and assembly
· The built-in venting system keeps air away from the baby’s tummy
· Ribbed texture of the nipple helps prevents collapse for uninterrupted feeding

I also like the shape. Miles now takes an 8 oz bottle before nap and bedtime. The Avent bottle is the only one we’ve tried that he was able to still hold on his own with 8 oz in it. He really likes to hold his own bottle, so I’m glad he has one that he can comfortably hold.

This year, Philips Avent partnered with actress (and new mom!) Sarah Chalke. She’s sharing her  experience with colic and how she’s trusting Philips Avent to ensure the best feeding experience for her new daughter, Frankie.
Check out what Sarah has to say in this video:

I’m honestly so happy we started using Philips Avent bottles and I think Miles is too!
