20 Favorite Baby Essentials

February 8, 2013

I wanted to share some of my baby essentials before the arrival of baby number three, so check them out below:

1. Soundspa Lullaby Sound Machine:  All of our rooms are SUPER close together upstairs and have original hardwood floors, so sound travels like crazy!  These are a MUST so the kids don’t wake each other up, but sound machines in general are great for giving the baby a little “white noise” to sleep to.

2.  Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump with On the Go Tote:  LOVE this for feeding—quick and easy to use.  Worth the money if you are in for the long haul, used it almost everyday for an entire year!

3.   Boppy Changing Pad Liners:  Don’t worry bout getting your cute changing pad sheet dirty, instead throw this on top and change as needed.  Easy to clean and use over and over again.

4.  Fisher-Price Cradle ‘N Swing:  Both of my kids LOVED the swing and took many naps in it when they were small.  I like this swing as it can swing in both directions.

5.  MAM  Pacifiers:  Aiden LOVED these pacifiers and the only reason I didn’t use them for Andrew (I used Avent) was because I didn’t want to mix them up.  These were my favorite, but really I have to say don’t be afraid of the pacifier if your child likes them.

6. Fisher-Price Soothe and Glow Seahorse:  Both of my boys loved this when they were little.  Soothing music and nightlight to help them fall asleep to.

7.  Boppy Bare Naked Pillow:  Perfect to help with feeding and as they get older, it’s a great pillow to stick behind them when they are learning to sit.  Definitely worth it, in my opinion.

8. BABYBJORN Baby CarrierOne:  Hands free carrier in general is a MUST, especially if you have two little ones.  I like the Bjorn, but you have to go with what works best for you!

 9. Summer Infant Swaddleme:  I used Swaddleme’s with both of my boys and they LOVED being swaddled to sleep.  These were perfect as I could get the swaddle nice and tight and not have to worry about them busting out with the velcro closures.

10.Graco Snap and Go:  So easy to snap in the car seat and stroll anywhere you need to go.  Don’t have to wake the sleeping baby no matter where you need to be!
11.  Nursery Monitor:  Simple monitor, but does exactly what you need it to do—hear the baby if they are crying!
12.  Fisher-Price Bouncer:  A must-have—bouncers are used all the time in this house when little ones are small!
13.  Fisher-Price Rainforest Melodies and Lights Deluxe Gym:  Stimulation and playtime for sweet little ones.
14.  The First Year’s Infant To Toddler Tub with Sling:  Works well with newborns and grows with baby until they are ready to take a bath in the big tub!
15. Graco Pack ‘N Play Playard:  We use this in our room for the first month or two for the baby to sleep in.  And from then on, it is used as a playpen, travel bed, etc.  A MUST-HAVE as my boys slept in this while we traveled all the way up to age two!
16.  Contoured Changing Pad:  We didn’t have a changing table, instead we put this pad on top of the dresser and it works just as great.  Snaps are included so no wiggly babies are going to roll out!
17.  Breastmilk Storage Bags:  Perfect for storing milk—must have if you are breast feeding!
18.  Lamaze Play & Grow Toys:  Cute, brightly colored toys!
19.  Rock & Play:  A new favorite & used everyday for several months.  This is my go-to baby gift for moms who don’t have one.
20.  BOB stroller:  If you are a runner or even plan to walk a lot, this is my favorite & most used baby item.  We use ours daily & it has lasted now six years!  We not only own the single, but now own the double BOB as well.  Highly, highly recommend.
Hope this helps many of you as you are prepping for the arrival of a sweet little one & would love to hear what you would add to this list!

It's really weird but good that I stopped by here today. and what caught my eye was the "A's" Only because that's the first letter in my name.

so of course i liked them.

I know they are coming up with great and amazing things for babies now a days. I look forward to when it's my time that is if it ever happens. I'm beginning to think I'm gonna be too old for all of that to happen. but I gotta have faith in the Lord and just keep going. He knows what's best.

So I take it you have 3 kids. or 2 boys and 1 girl on the way? i'm new to your blog.

I'd love for you to come and view mine and give me feed back. I'm lacking feedback and followers.
