The Chirping Moms

Character Building Chart for Kids (Free Printable)

April 1, 2019

By: Sarah Tucker, Sarah’s blog

In some ways I feel like my mom was the original Pinterest mom.  It wasn’t even that anything was over the top, but just that she was so consistent with making all of the little things special.  She found ways to motivate us to want to read our Bible, or do the dishes … and it was character building.  It is those disciplines I learned as a child that still help me today.  A while ago I was helping my mom clean out the attic, and we found an old “Character Building” chart of my brothers.  I remembered it immediately, and wanted to have someone create something similar.  And Voila!  Here is a free printable character building chart for kids.

Character Building Chart

With this you can work on general character building, or tailor it to take on a more specific character trait to work on monthly/weekly.  Coordinate it with a Bible Verse you’d like them to learn that associates with the specific character trait you’re working on.
These could be:
Authenticity
Discernment
A spirit of generosity
A love for others
Gratitude
Obedience
Responsibility
A love for God’s Word
Etc…
Hopefully this is a tool that will also help bring deeper conversations for your family and maybe even draw you each closer to God and one another.
