Festive Food For 4th of July

July 2, 2013

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy celebrating outside, enjoying time with family & lots of red, white & blue! I’m always trying to come up with new festive 4th of July food ideas. This year I’m trying to keep it really easy, but still red, white & blue.
Red, White & Blue Salad

Ingredients: Blueberries, Strawberries & Goat Cheese

You could put it over mixed greens too!

Star Fruit Kabobs

Ingredients: watermelon, sliced banana, blueberries & strawberries

Make the fruit extra festive & use a star shaped cookie cutter for the watermelon!

Red, White & Blue Chips & Salsa

Ingredients: white tortilla chips, blue corn tortilla chips & any red salsa or tomatoes.

A few easy dessert ideas:

1. Cupcakes topped with vanilla icing, blueberries & chopped strawberries

2. Angel Food Cake served with blueberries, strawberries & cool whip

3. A red, white & blue trifle

4. Patriotic mini ice cream cone cupcakes
