The Chirping Moms

Friday Favorites: 2 Simple Favorites for Moms

August 1, 2015

I think every January I make a resolution to make sure I take more time to take care of myself. I make lists of things I will do to set aside more time to read, shop, work out, etc. It always sounds so nice, but come February I come to the conclusion that with a crew of tiny people running around the house, they’re needs are going to come first for a while. I do take time for myself. Typically what happens is that all of a sudden I realize it’s been weeks since I’ve done spent time alone doing what “I” want and then decide I need a getaway to visit friends or a day to myself.

While I’d like to make it more of a daily 20 minutes to myself or an hour a week, life with little ones gets busy and it just never seems to happen in my schedule. I recently realized the only time I devote to myself EVERY day: taking care of my teeth at night. I know… not very exciting. I also can’t say “taking care of my teeth” because in the morning, when I brush my teeth, I am holding the baby and sharing a sink with two little girls.

I realized this after reading this statistic: “A new study from REACH shows 82% of the nation’s moms never skip brushing their teeth every night.”

So it seems that no matter how busy our days get, as moms, we are all taking some time to take care of our teeth at night. Since this seems to be one of my few “solo routines” I like to find products I really like. Recently I switched to the new REACH® Complete Care CURVE Toothbrush and REACH® Complete Care Mouth Rinse. The tooth brush is definitely the first I’ve liked enough to tell anyone about and the mouth wash is great, plus I always like a product that comes with “bonus features” that help me stay organized. The REACH mouth rinse has it’s own attached toothbrush holder, no mess pump, and dosage cup holder – who doesn’t want a mouthwash that helps to keep your bathroom clean and tidy?

A little bit about these two great REACH products: The new REACH® Complete Care™ Rinse offers 8-in-1 benefits that kill bad breath germs, helps prevent gingivitis, reduces plaque, fights tartar build-up, freshens breath and cleans the whole mouth by foaming between the teeth with no burn of alcohol. The REACH® Complete Care™ CURVE Tooth brush has a 13° triple angled neck and triple angled bristles to maximize contact with each tooth and help clean between teeth and around the gum line too. So moms, if you’re in the 82% that never skip brushing your teeth at night, here are some new products to try during your nightly routine!
