The Chirping Moms

Friday Favorites: Door to Door Organics

April 19, 2013

We’ve enjoyed Earth Conscious Week on the blog & hope you have too. We’ll close the week with one of the easiest ways I’ve found to bring organic food into our house: Door to Door Organics.

This organic food delivery service is easy & a lot less expensive then I would have ever imagined. Also, our readers receive $10 off their first order & shipping is always free. Use code: ChirpingMoms .

Door to Door Organics partners with farmers to bring fresh, organic produce and natural groceries right to your doorstep. They also have a great recipe &  meal planning section of their website that gives you great ideas for using the food that is delivered.

For example, this week’s box included snap peas. I am going to use our snap peas & try this recipe for Sugar Snap Peas & Sesame Dipping Sauce.

I was always hesitant to try getting a fruit & vegetable box delivered or from a local farm, because I thought it would be filled with odd produce my kids wouldn’t eat. You can see the contents of this week’s box:

The produce in this week’s box is exactly what I would buy at the store. It’s also the perfect amount. I think it’s a really good value too.

Door to Door Organics is delivering food to many regions of the country. You can see if your home is located in one of their regions on their homepage. Please note that our coupon code is only valid in the tri-state area (again the code is ChirpingMoms for $10 off).

You can also follow along with Door to Door Organics on Twitter & Facebook.

We love their fresh organic produce at our house & hope you enjoy trying it too!

We are not being compensated for this post. We did receive our first box of produce for review. All opinions are our own.
