Friday Favorites: Kidfresh Meals & Giveaway!

June 21, 2013

It’s not easy to get my kids to eat a full meal. I actually find it’s harder in the summer. They never want to stop running around outside, splashing in the pool & digging in the dirt. They eat dinner around 5pm, so it’s still bright & sunny outside. It’s always a battle to get them inside to eat lunch & dinner. Lately we’ve been eating a lot of meals outside instead. They think it’s fun & actually stop playing to eat, because they know they can stay outside. The problem with this: when do I cook? I wanted to find a few fast & easy healthy meals for dinner. We’ve tried a few things, but our favorite is certainly Kidfresh.

Why we love Kidfresh meals:

Easy: They are ready in about 25 minutes in the oven or 4 minutes in the microwave. They are in BPA and Phthalate-Free packaging too. They are easy to find. You can use the locater on their site. For Moms who live near me: they are in our Pathmark. For anyone who orders from Fresh Direct: Kidfresh meals are now available there too!

Healthy:  Have 100% natural ingredients & are low in sodium. They are high in protein and vitamins. Also, Kidfresh meals have hidden veggies! My kids have no idea how many veggies they are eating when they gobble up their Kidfresh meals.

Delicious: Kidfresh meals are delicious. I’ve tried all of the Kidfresh meals I’ve served my kids & I can’t believe how yummy they are. They are also the first frozen meal that my kids have tried, that they actually ate. They love the pasta & meatballs! Their other favorite is the mac & cheese wagon wheels. My favorite are the quesadillas.

I’m so glad I found an easy dinner option for the kids that I can feel good about feeding them. I like cooking for my kids, but during busy summer days, it’s great to have a healthy alternative they love. Kidfresh is going to send free meals to TWO lucky winners!
