Friday Favorites: NUK Simply Natural Bottles

March 10, 2017

Disclosure:  This post was sponsored by NUK as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central, however all opinions expressed are my own.

If there is a time that I cherish most with a new baby at home, it’s the time that I sit down to feed.  With three older children and a newborn, our house is rarely quiet and basically, a whirlwind of activity.  As a mom, I am often pulled in several directions.  My days are spent reading stories, washing clothes, running errands, & so much more.  Moments to sit down and relax are few and far between.  So when Avery is ready to nurse, I look forward to spending this quiet moment with her.  This is often the only time that I get in a day to just sit down and focus on the baby, just her & I.  These past two months, I have really treasured this time one on one time bonding with our new baby girl.

Once Avery seemed to have a good routine and rhythm to breast feeding, I was ready to introduce the bottle.  Right around one month, I try to get into a routine that we give a bottle of breastmilk to Avery every day.  I have had trouble in the past with some of my children refusing the bottle, so I feel very strong about keeping this routine consistent so she will be able to drink both from the breast and bottle.  When searching for the right bottle, I look for a bottle that is created to be similar to mom’s breast so I can easily transition between breast and bottle and back.  The Nuk Simply Natural Bottle has several features that have made the transition from breast to bottle smooth and easy for both of us (& allows other family members to join in on the bond that comes with feeding!).

Nuk Simply Natural bottles are the only bottles in the market that have up to nine nipple holes, just like mom’s breasts.  The bottles come in three different flow rates: slow, medium, and fast.  This is a bottle that grow with the baby, as they feed more efficiently as they get older.

The nipple shape of the Nuk Simply Natural bottles is modeled after the shape of mom’s breast during breastfeeding.  This allows for a smooth latch on the bottle for the baby.  The nipple is also made with a special extra soft silicone so it feels similar to mom’s breast when feeding.

Other great features of the NUK Simply Natural bottles include: an advanced anti-colic air system, odor & stain resistant, and BPA-free.  Also, the bottles are easy to clean & assemble.  These bottles are part of the Simply Natural Feeding Support System, which is a line of innovative products designed to make natural feeding simple & easy.  NUK Simply Natural bottles can be found at Walmart & Target.  NUK also came out with the Simple Natural Freemie Collection Cups.  These cups are a hands-free pumpkin accessory that makes pumping anywhere, anytime just a little easier.  The Freemie collection cups be found at Walmart & Target as well.

When it comes to bottles, it often means a little “trial and error” to find the right bottle for your child.  With the design created to emulate a mother’s breast, the NUK Simple Natural Bottles are a great fit for our baby.  This time around, I am glad to find these bottles that help make the transition from breast to bottle and back smooth and easy!
