The Chirping Moms

A New Nursery Addition: Mimo Smart Baby Monitor

December 9, 2015

I’m always shocked at how many new products I discover with of my babies. Whether they are new to the market or just new to me, there’s always something to learn about. My kids are close together in age: 5, 4, 1 and a new baby due in January. But even with less than 2 years between some of them, baby products and gear can change so much. I truly enjoy baby gear and learning about it. There are so many items that come out that can make a moms life easier and make her more assured her child is safe.
With baby #4 due in less than 8 weeks, we are starting to get ready for the newest member of our family to arrive. We moved this summer, so finding all of the baby and newborn gear has been quite the task. I’ve also started to research some new items to try or that we may need. One new product we’ve gotten is the Mimo Smart Baby Monitor. I’ve read a lot about these neat new monitors and can’t wait to actually use it when the baby arrives.
What drew me in to want to learn more about Mimo Smart Baby Monitors is that their site says “when a baby sleeps better, the entire household sleeps better.” If we end up with a house of 6 people not sleeping well, we could be seriously grumpy!
So what is a Mimo Smart baby Monitor:
The Mimo Smart Baby Monitor uses sensor technology to tell parents how their baby is breathing. It also monitors the baby’s body position, sleeping temperature, activity level, and whether they’re asleep. It’s the first product on the market that provides alerts and nightly reports on your baby’s sleep. What’s really neat is that all of this is recorded on your your smartphone. It can be shared with caregivers and keep everyone connected.
I was a little concerned with a device being on the baby/ in the crib, but Mimo uses ultra low- power Bluetooth Low Energy, which is actually a lower power than a standard audio monitor or your smartphone.
The Mimo Smart Baby Monitor comes is 0-3, 3-6, and 6-12 month sizes and in four colors: natural, mint, pink, and yellow. The monitor is available at Babies R Us for $199.
I know that taking care of 4 children under 6 is going to be no easy feat. Getting them all to sleep and finding time to sleep myself could be very challenging. Finding something that will help me and baby sleep better is not just a product a want to try, but one that may truly save my sleep and sanity this winter! We’re really looking forward to setting this new Mimo Smart Baby Monitor up and watching our newest little bundle of joy sleep.

This is absolutely great especially for mom's who have more than 1 child and has to juggle around a lot.
