Try the Berry Lactation Boosting Smoothie first thing in the morning for breakfast or blend it up and take it with you while you’re on-the-go throughout the day.

Smoothies are nutrient-dense and easily fill the nutritional gaps and are a great solution to make sure you’re getting the vitamins and minerals you need!  

This lactation boosting smoothie recipes formula consists of protein, healthy fats, fiber, veggies, fruit, and liquid. It’s designed with new mamas in mind, providing a variety of nutrients you need to increase energy, boost milk production, balance your blood sugar and keep you satisfied….

 

Lactation Boosting Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup nut milk
  • 1 serving of Majka Nourishing Lactation Protein Powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut nectar (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ banana
  • 2 tbsp flaxseeds
  • 1 cup spinach 
  • Dash of cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Serve and enjoy!

Blueberries – these sweet berries are low in sugar and contain a high concentration of antioxidants. Antioxidants are important for helping reduce inflammation such as swollen breast tissues and clogged milk ducts. Blueberries are full of vitamins and minerals, along with fiber-rich carbohydrates to keep your energy levels high.

 

Flaxseeds – the oil in flaxseeds contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) that is semi-converted into omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy fats along with phytoestrogens that can impact the milk supply of breastfeeding moms. In addition, flaxseeds are an excellent source of fiber! When adding flaxseeds to your diet they must be ground. Whole flaxseeds can’t be digested in the body so you miss out on all the nutrients.

 

Spinach – Leafy greens darker in color are packed with nutrients, the important breastfeeding nutrients being iron and calcium. Spinach also contains phytoestrogens to help strengthen your body’s milk supply.
