The Chirping Moms

National Superhero Day

April 28, 2020

This is a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Happy National Superhero Day! Although… this year it’s been 100% ok to wear your favorite superhero dress up daily, since it’s about the only other thing these 2 put on besides pajamas. From costumes of their favorite character to making up their own superheroes…. I’m happy they do it because (from what I read) roleplay is key at this age and they can’t go to preschool (man I miss preschool teachers!). National Superhero Day is the perfect time to celebrate the art of roleplay and imagination.

Today we kicked our morning off with a few of our closest friends: Catboy, Owlette and Gekko… don’t worry, they were on TV not actually in our house! For these two, the day goes from watching superheroes, to playing with superhero toys, to dressing as superheroes and back to watching them on tv.

PJ Masks fans are in for a treat. If your little superheroes have seen every episode 10 times over this quarantine (like mine) here’s some good news: season four of PJ Masks airs May 15. The new season has 26 episodes including the first ever 44 minute special “Heroes of the Sky”. As always, find PJ Masks on Disney Junior.

We’ve been PJ Masks fans since the start. Years ago when the show started, Alex was a mega Owlette fan and still talks about how she’d play PJ Masks on the playground in preschool. Now she has two little brothers that love the show: Tommy who likes to be Catboy and Miles who loves Gekko.

Excited to celebrate National Superhero Day? Decide on your super power for the day and get dressed up and head out on an adventure  (your yard or playroom!).  To help celebrate, check out the Hero Celebration Kit from PJMasks.com to add to the roleplay fun!

Have a happy National Superhero Day!
