The Chirping Moms

The Newest Way to Kick Diaper Rash

February 10, 2017

Exactly 7 years ago, I was eagerly awaiting my 1st to be born. My sister in law gave me a few “essentials” to get ready for the big day and one of them was Boudreaux Butt Paste. The name made me laugh. Little did I know this butt paste was “no joke” and we’d be using it on our baby in no time. My sister in law had 3 babies of her own and knew what I needed to have on hand.

7 years and “4 behinds” later, we are still using Boudreaux Butt Paste. It’s been around since 1978 and was created by a pharmacist. It helps on contact and really does the trick for diaper rash. This year, there’s a new Butt Paste in town: the new Maximum Strength Butt Paste Jar. I wish I had this jar over the past few years. It features a flip top which is key when your hands are covered in paste and there’s a wiggly baby on the changing table.

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Maximum Strength is a fast-acting and a safe solution. It’s made with 40% Zinc Oxide which is two times the power of their original formula. My pediatrician told me years ago: when looking for a good diaper rash cream, you want a high amount of zinc oxide. So there’s a lot of the “good stuff” but none of the bad stuff. Boudreaux Butt Paste is free of dyes, paragons, preservatives, phthalates and talc.
