The Chirping Moms

Owl S’mores

November 14, 2012

Tomorrow I have “snack duty” for Maggie’s class & made these:

Owl Smores : The Chirping Moms

I stumbled upon this idea while looking for fall snack ideas. Maggie loves owls, so I knew she would be excited to bring these in to share with her friends.

Owl Smores : The Chirping Moms

Supplies:

Graham crackers

Candy corn

Marshmallows cut in half

Mini Chocolate chips

Orange Candy melts

Directions:

Heat oven to 350F

Break graham crackers in half. Line them up on a cookie sheet with a piece of wax paper. Place the marshmallows on the graham cracker & the candy melt on top. Place in oven until you see that the candy melt is just starting to melt. Take them out & place the mini chocolate chip on the candy melt. Then place back in the oven for about a minute. Place the candy corn  in between the marshmallows. This part was not that easy. You kind of have to press it into the marshmallow. You could also just use a little bit of icing or peanut butter to stick the candy corn on. I just didn’t have icing & didn’t want to use peanut butter because of allergies in her class.

Let cool & then enjoy!

I originally saw this recipe here, but did not have luck using the microwave.
