Friday Favorites: See Kai Run

July 3, 2020

It’s now July and my kids haven’t been inside of a store since February. One thing that I would always do in store, was have my kids feet measured. Whether it was using the “foot chart” in Target or taking them to a kids shoe section, each season I liked to see exactly what size my kids feet were. Since we’ve been at home, I’ve had to get my kids new sneakers this spring and summer sandals. For sizing kids feet at home, I used the chart and tips from See Kai Run.

We’ve loved See Kai Run shoes for 8 years now. It’s a brand a know and trust. They also come out with the cutest styles around! From early walkers to big kids, See Kai Run has some great shoes for summer. I’m sharing photos throughout the post of our favorites this season but visit their website for many more options.

If you are in need of help on figuring out your kids shoe size without heading into a store, hopefully today’s post will help!

Sizing Kids Feet at Home

I reached out to See Kai Run for some tips on measuring your child’s foot at home. They said:

  • Measure both feet and mark the end of the longest toe to determine size.
  • Measure with socks on if the child intends to wear them with shoes.
  • When checking the fit of your child’s shoes, there should be about ½ inch of room and the toe and the shoe shouldn’t slip off if you pull on the heel.
  • If the child’s foot measures in between lines, move up to the next available size.
  • For children 18 months – 3years old, feet grow about ½ size every year. Be sure to measure every 6-12 months.
  • For children 3 years old and up, feet grow about 1 size every year.

The See Kai Run sandals always hold up all summer. They’re also easy to clean and water proof for the beach and pool. Another style we love are their sneakers. I get them for my boys each season, every year, since they could walk.

See Kai Run were almost all of my kids “first shoes”. So when my cousin (one of our awesome writers!) was hunting for something to try this summer, I recommended See Kai Run. I asked her to try the chart on their site and these tips, as a guinea pig… and it worked! The shoes fit her little one.

See Kai Run Sale

Right now See Kai Run has 30% off many of their water shoes and a ton of styles on sale for $20.
