The month of September always feels like a blur of craze to me every year, especially this year with a new kindergartener off to big school and a toddler off to pre school now. Both of my children have officially been in school for a month and things are finally starting to settle. It’s around this time that I feel like I can truly start focusing on organization and efficient preparation for events to come.
Sometimes I just need those few hectic weeks to go through our system to see what worked and what did not work so we know how know how to run everyone’s schedules more efficiently. If school wasn’t enough, we’ve now added extra curricular activities like soccer, ballet, and music into the mix. And if your family has end of summer birthdays like ours does… things can be even more hectic. Communication is often the biggest struggle, so having a ‘landing spot’ where all our happenings are written down has been one of the only ways we have been able to swing all the changing schedules.
One of the only ways we can function and stay organized is with our Minted calendar. I love how I can customize birthdays, important events, and holidays on the calendar before it even prints so that those important dates are thought out and on the calendar for all of us to see. The yearly calendar is so helpful for my husband and I especially to stay on the same page when it comes to family birthdays, school starting, holidays, and other important events. This calendar is part of our command center and is centrally located in our home for everyone to see.
I have the important dates printed on the calendar (like anniversaries, ha!) from Minted and then I add in fun family events as they pop up. It’s been so easy and fun to have. Plus, the customized photo of my children at the top is extra special! These calendars also make great gifts for family and friends. What a special gift to give to them with customized photos and their special dates listed. I think I’ll be ordering two more of these for the sweet grandparents in our family!
Would love to know what has been the most helpful way to keep your family organized and on track with balancing life and all the fun events!
