The Chirping Moms

Where to Wednesday: Wovenplay Studio, Brooklyn

October 24, 2013

When I first saw Wovenplay clothes, I immediately thought: if I could make my children’s clothes myself, this is it what they would look like. They are vibrant, unique & match so many of the adventures of childhood. The playful styles remind me of my girls’ personalities & it’s great to see them run around in these fun, beautiful pieces.

I also like finding good quality brands made in our country. When I found out that Wovenplay is all hand made in New York City, I was even more interested in this beautiful line. They invited me to their Brooklyn studio, to see where & how their clothes come to life.

I loved seeing all of the hand dyed clothes drying & the leather all set to be cut. It was so nice to see children’s clothes being made with such care, in such a clean, creative space.

Wovenplay prides themselves on their transformation of raw materials into hand crafted, hand dyed, unique pieces. The inspiration for the styles come from decades past & the spirit of children’s imagination. Currently they make clothing & accessories for children. This winter they will introduce a new line of shoes. Next year, keep an eye out for an adult line too.  I was lucky enough to visit on a day they were having one of their fantastic sample sales. If you are in the New York City area, keep an eye out for their sale dates. Not only can you do some shopping, you can see the studio too. You can also shop Wovenplay on their website & at a number of boutiques.

We love the quality, comfort & beautiful styles made by Wovenplay. Here are my little free spirits, letting their imaginations run wild in our backyard:

We were not compensated for this post. We did receive some samples for purpose of review. As always, all opinions are my own.
