We survived the great blizzard of 2016.  We had seven snow days of school.  Yes, seven days of kids home all day & several of them we couldn’t even manage to get of the house because our roads were completely unplowed.  Today, I am sharing a super easy craft idea that you can do with your kids next time you are snowed in.  All you need is white paint, a wine cork (from one of the several bottles of wine you may have drank while stuck inside!), & construction paper.  We are pairing this craft with a fun book & easy snack idea as part of our craft, book, and snack series.

Supplies Needed:  White Paint, Construction Paper, & Wine Cork
Directions:  Create snowflake using wine cork & white paint!
One of our favorite books in the winter is Snowflake Bentley.  I just learned about this book last year when my son came home from kindergarten talking about it.  It’s actually a biography about Wilson Bentley, the first known photographer of Wilson Bentley.
And last, what snack would you have when you have a massive pile of snow outside?  Nothing but our favorite, snow ice cream. It is super easy to make & it definitely isn’t truly ice cream, but my kids loved that they could make “ice cream” from snow.
