5 Fun Gifts for Little Wizards

December 1, 2020

Lately my kindergartner is into all things wizardry. From making potions outside to asking his sisters millions of questions about Harry Potter. He uses a stick as a wand and runs around all day rattling spells. I was trying to find some cool wizard themed gifts for him and also gifts that would keep him learning while he’s home for virtual learning. If you have a child at home that’s looking to create potions and spells, check out these 5 fun gifts for little wizards:

Wizard Themed Gifts for Kids

1. Osmo Math Wizard and the Magical Workshop:  We love Osmo. I started using it during quarantine in March and since then have used it for my preschooler, kindergartner and elementary school age children. My kids kids love the art programs and my little kids love that they get “iPad time” (and don’t even realize they are learning games). When I saw the Math Wizard and the Magical Workshop game I knew my boys would love it. It’s so cool and they really feel like they are “making potions” while they are actually leaning and practicing math. It’s a great program to buy because it can be used for multiple kids or as one child grows in their math skills.

2. Wizard Dress Up Costume: We have a blue wizard hat and cape that is worn constantly in our house. There are lots of cool costumes out there and this one would make a great gift: wizard costume.

3. Wizard Suncatcher Kit: This Etsy shop has really cool craft kits. The wizard set has a wand, potion bottle and more. The kits come with everything your little wizard needs to make some beautiful suncatchers to hang in the window.

4. Potion Kit: This one is also from Etsy. I like it because it looks “real” and not like the prepackaged kits you find. This potion kit comes with the dry ingredients in recyclable cello bag (you just add water), a cloth bag to hold extra ingredients and an affirmations card. When you add water it makes a “magical fizz”!

5. Harry Potter Illustrated Book: I know the Harry Potter books are geared towards older children but my boys are so interested in reading them. I recently learned about the illustrated version and think it’s a great read aloud option for younger “budding wizards”. I can’t wait to start reading these after Christmas.

Have fun creating some magic!
