Woodloch Pines: A True Family Resort

March 21, 2018

Woodloch Resort has become one of our favorite family resorts to visit. We have gone a few times now and each time we have even more fun! I am so happy to share a special coupon code for Woodloch Resort: use code Chirping to get a 15% discount on your stay! Click here to book:  Woodloch Deal

A few weeks ago, we visited Woodloch Pines Resort for the third time. We love trying new places and setting out on new adventures, but we keep going back to Woodloch. This time, during one of the dinners I realized why: it’s a true family resort. Many places boast that they are a family resort because they offer amenities for kids and activities for families. Woodloch is different because it’s dedicated to families and providing a place that families can spend much needed, special time together.

I guess we got that feeling from Woodloch the first two times we visited which is why we keep coming back but this time it really hit me. During dinner, one of the owners of Woodloch was addressing the crowd. He was welcoming everyone and sharing all the exciting things families could partake in over the weekend. He was genuinely so happy to share what his resort had to offer and kept reiterating that the activities were to help families spend time together. I also realized that this man had spoken, welcomed us, shook our hands and shared all the “family activities” at almost every meal we had eaten at Woodloch over the years. This is a man and a family dedicated to family and their resort.

In addition to this wonderful “family feel” here are some of the other reasons our family loves Woodloch Rines Resort

The Indoor Pools at Woodloch

If you ask my kids their favorite part of Woodloch, they will probably all answer: the indoor pool and splash area. The indoor Kiddie Splash Pool and the new Indoor Splash zone are awesome. They are clean, super entertaining and the water is nice and warm. Then there’s also a big indoor pool and a baby pool. No need to pack your puddle jumpers – Woodloch has plenty of them on hand to use. We spent hours splashing and swimming each day.

Snow Tubing at Woodloch

This is the first time we tried snow tubing at Woodloch. It was SO much fun! Even Tommy tried going down with Tom and loved it. The girls were big enough to tube on their own and they were having so much fun it was hard to convince them to go inside for lunch.

Ice Skating at Woodloch

This winter, Woodloch opened their brand new year round ice skating rink. It was a BLAST! They have skate rentals for all sizes. Even little Miles had a pair to rent. There are balance bars that the kids can hold onto to practice. After a little while on the ice, the older kids pushed the balance bars to the side and were skating on their own.

Meals & Theme Nights at Woodloch

Meals on vacation can be daunting with 4 little kids in tow. We truly enjoy meals at Woodloch. There are characters to meet when you walk in, theme nights to enjoy and delicious food. An all inclusive resort, with a wonderful family restaurant can really make a vacation. We knew exactly where we would be eating all of our meals and knew we could arrive any time during the allotted window and our table was ready. It was always the same table with the same server which makes a huge difference to us. The kids quickly get comfortable with the environment and the people and they knew what to expect. This made for great family meals – honestly we had fun eating with 4 kids under 8. There were zero meltdowns, quick service (when requested) and food the kids ate.

The Kids Craft Room at Woodloch

Just past the dinning room, is a kids craft room that’s open all day. There are tons of arts & crafts supplies, books and space for kids to play. It’s the perfect spot for kids to enjoy before of after meals or to warm up after snow tubing.

The Indoor Playground at Woodloch

Each time we visit Woodloch, my kids go crazy for the indoor playground. It’s called the Forest Indoor Playground and it’s huge. It can entertain the kids for hours. There’s also a smaller area attached for the little kids to play. Around the perimeter of the room are arcade games and air hockey.

The best part: ALL of the activities mentioned are included in your stay, even meals. There are so many more activities, (click here for more activities) including activities for older kids too. Someday we’ll try things like Bingo and the Escape Rooms and report back. Also, we visited in the winter – there’s even more to do at Woodloch in the summer (so I’ve heard!). Be sure to check out their website for more details on what Woodloch Pines has to offer.
