5 Easy Dinner Recipes

May 14, 2013

Use code yellowfriday for 20% off at The BBQ Pantry

I’ve said this many times before, but I enjoy cooking a lot more when part of the work is done for me. I like recipes with few ingredients & even fewer steps. One of the shops were excited to share with you during Yellow Friday, is The BBQ Pantry. This shop is packed with spices, sauces, rubs & mixes, ready to help you make a fantastic meal. I’ve been busy trying out quite a few lately. I’ve come up with 5 easy dinner recipes using some of my favorites from The BBQ Pantry.

1. Crock Pot Roasted Chicken & Gravy

Ingredients:

Organic Rosemary & Garlic Sea Salt

Organic Rosemary Poultry Gravy Mix

Whole Chicken

Olive Oil

Garlic cloves

Onion or diced scallions

Directions:

Place whole chicken into crock pot. Cover in olive oil. Sprinkle a generous amount of the Organic Rosemary & Garlic Sea Salt all over the chicken. Place whole (peeled) garlic cloves into the center of the chicken. Dice scallions OR peel & cut onion in half. Place into the center of the chicken. Cook on high for about 6 hours.

Make Organic Rosemary Poultry Gravy according to package.

I usually don’t like gravy, but this mix makes delicious gravy. It would be perfect to add some mashed potatoes to this dinner!

2. Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

1 bottle Hickory BBQ Sauce

2 Liter Bottle of Root Beer

4-5lbs Pork (preferably pork butt or shoulder)

Directions:

Place pork into crock pot. Cover with the bottle of root beer. Cook on high for 4-6 hours. Take pork out & discard the root beer. Shred the pork & mix in bottle of Hickory BBQ Sauce. Serve on rolls & enjoy!

3. Crock Pot Chili

Ingredients:

Arizona Chili Kit

1lb Ground beef

2 cans tomato sauce

1 can stewed tomatoes

1 can kidney beans

1 can black beans

Directions:

I followed the directions on the Arizona Chili Kit mix, but cooked it in the crock pot instead. Brown the meat & then add the meat along with all other ingredients into the crock pot.

This mix comes with multiple mini bags of seasonings. Maggie loves cooking with me & this was her favorite to help cook. She got to open & add all of the seasonings herself!

4. BBQ Grilled Chicken

Ingredients:

Boneless chicken breasts

Vinegar BBQ Sauce

Directions:

Marinate the chicken breasts in the Vinegar BBQ Sauce for an hour or so. Place chicken on a pre-heated grill. Brush on extra Vinegar BBQ Sauce as you grill.

I served the chicken diced over salad. The vinegar taste to the chicken was perfect with a salad dressed with oil & red wine vinegar.

5. Aged Merlot London Broil

Ingredients:

London broil (or steak of your choice)

Vintage Merlot Infused Sea Salt

Pepper

Directions:

Season both sides of the london broil with pepper & Vintage Merlot Infused Sea Salt. Grill & enjoy!

This Merlot Sea Salt is amazing & could be used on many different things. This was the best london broil I’ve ever made.

Keep an eye out for The BBQ Pantry in Yellow Friday this weekend. They’ll have a great coupon code to offer. It’s a good time to stock up on BBQ supplies for the summer. They also have gift baskets that would make a perfect Father’s Day gift!
