An Exciting Weekend Road Trip With Evenflo Platinum

My kids love to travel. They get so excited when we tell them we are going on an “adventure”. Their first question is always “do we get to stay at a hotel?” which is quickly followed by “do we get to watch a movie in the car?”. We said “yes” to both questions this weekend as we packed up the car for a weekend getaway to Pennsylvania. We were heading to Woodloch Pines for the first time, and couldn’t wait to check it out. The girls packed up their bags and we were ready to go. Maggie was a little nervous when she came downstairs and saw my husband putting her old car seat in the family room. She said “am I staying home?!”. We informed her this road trip came with an extra surprise: a cool new car seat, the Evenflo Platinum.

Maggie was thrilled when she saw her new seat. It was way more comfortable than her old seat and the first thing she noticed: 2 cup holders! Making the seat comfortable was key for Evenflo, as they believe a peaceful ride is a safe ride. If the child is comfy and not complaining/screaming, the parent can focus on making sure they are driving safe.

The Evenflo Platinum seat made for a comfortable ride up to Woodloch for the weekend. Once we arrived, the fun was non stop. We were all thrilled when we checked into our big, comfy room. Tom and I looked over the list of activities offered while the girls played hide n seek (which was lots of fun in a room with 2 extra large closets, 2 bathrooms and a separate family room!).

We headed outside to explore the grounds a little. The lake was beautiful and the girls loved finding painted “bear prints” along the paths. Woodloch Pines has so many fun activities for families to enjoy.

A few of our favorite things about Woodloch:

– The indoor pool and splash pad

This provided for hours of fun. There’s a big indoor pool that we swam in as a family. There is a great “kiddie pool” that was super warm and fun for the girls to swim around. The splash pad/pool was awesome. It was really big, with tons of water activities including a pirate ship, slides, etc.

– Enjoyable family meals

We were so impressed with the meals at Woodloch. Everything is included and the selection was perfect for families. The servers were very friendly and accommodating, and we were able to have a weekend full of stress free/ tantrum free family dinning. Saturday night’s, Woodloch hosts theme dinners. My husband and I enjoyed the 80’s theme dinner, complete with a Pac Man centerpiece and lots of 80’s tunes on during the meal.

– Woodloch Forest

Woodloch Forest is an indoor playground. The girls had a blast here! It was close by the dinning room, so it made for some great post-dinner fun.

– Bumper Cars

There’s an indoor area of bumper cars. This includes a “little kid” area complete with a whole bunch of power wheels that the kids can cruise around on. This was a lot of fun!

– Characters

Maggie and Alex love meeting characters. They were shocked to find out that there were characters at all the meals we had at Woodloch! They met Miss Piggy, Ariel, Belle, Winnie the Pooh and more.

We visited Woodloch on a cold, rainy March weekend and ran out of time before we ran out of things to do. I can’t imagine how fun it is in the summer time! We hope to go back in the warmer weather to try out the rest of the resort.
