The Chirping Moms

DIY Flower Crowns

DIY Flower Crowns || The Chirping Moms

Tonight, I’m happy to share a little bit about two things I enjoy: making crafts for my kids and monogrammed clothes. First the monograms: I like to get the girls something once or twice a year with their full monogram. Truthfully, I’d like to get them many things with their monogram, but since we try to hand things down from one sister to the next, I have to set some limits! This spring, the girls got the most beautiful monogrammed set yet, this dress/ bubble combo from Smocked by Stellybelly.

The quality is fantastic and the styles go with each of my girls personalities quite well. These are just a small part of the wonderful spring/summer collection Smocked by Stellybelly has to offer this year.

Stellybelly is a Facebook auction that has sales twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday nights at 8:30pm CT. There are many Facebook auctions these days, but Stellybelly is truly one you can trust for high quality. We’ve followed their site for about 18 months now and have loved all the styles we’ve seen! How sweet is this two piece set that Julie got for Abby? The jumbo ric rac is just too cute.

Now for a fun craft for your little girls to wear: DIY Flower Crowns

Supplies:

Ribbon

Strip of felt or elastic

Hot glue gun & glue

Wire cutters

Fake Flowers

Directions:

Use the wire cutters to cut the flower down as low as possible – so there is no stem sticking out. Cut the ribbon to be long enough to wrap around your child’s head & then tie a bow. Cut the felt strip or elastic to be long enough to just cover their head. Glue the strip of felt or elastic to the ribbon. This is just so the crown is more sturdy & comfortable for your little one.

Now glue on the flowers. Be very generous with the hot glue. Let dry/cool & then tie onto your little lady! *Supervise kids when wearing these as they can be untied easily.
