The Chirping Moms

Apple Pie Playdough

October 23, 2017

The big brothers are back in school and we have been settling back into a new routine of the school year.  I have had to readjust our schedule to enjoying life with two kids from 8-3 before the big after school rush of homework, sports, and dinnertime.  Abby attends half-day preschool, but I am enjoying spending time with her at home before she heads off to kindergarten next year.  If there is one child that loves to do crafts & activities in this house, it’s Abby!  We have loved having a little extra time together, now that the boys are back in school, doing some fun things together.  Today, I am sharing one of her favorite things that we have done this past month: Apple Pie Playdough.

Apple Pie Playdough

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Water

2 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil

1 Cup of Flour

1/3 Cup of Salt

1 Tbsp of Cream of Tarter

1 Tsp of Apple Pie Spice

1 Tsp of Cinnamon

Directions:

Mix the following ingredients together in a medium saucepan.

Stir the mixture of medium heat until it comes together, about three to four minutes.

Once it turns into a ball shape, turn off the heat and let the dough cool to use.

Once cooled, keep sealed to use over and over again.

This play dough smells so good & was lots of fun to make!  For a fun play-dough themed birthday gift, make sure to check out our DIY Play Dough Kit for Kids.
