Awesome Gift Ideas for Moms

December 2, 2015

Majority of our readers are moms, so if you’re reading this and you are a mom: copy and paste the link to this post and email to your husband, kids, etc. You won’t be disappointed!

I often think of little gifts I’d like or things we need for the house. Over the past few months I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy the gifts suggested below and think other moms would really enjoy them too. Here are my top 7 gift picks for Moms:

1. Aden + Anais Daydream Blanket

For years I’ve been jealous of my kids Aden + Anais Dream Blankets. They are so soft and snuggly, but still breathable. The kids always look so peaceful sleeping with their Dream Blankets. I have been “dreaming of a dream blanket” of my own and last month my dreams came true when I discovered the Daydream Blanket: it’s an adult size Aden + Anais blanket and it’s just as soft and luxurious as the little swaddles and Dream Blankets you’ve been using for your little ones. I haven’t slept so well in years! The Daydream blanket has four layers of oh-so-soft rayon made from bamboo. Aden + Anais says ” you don’t have to be a baby to go gaga over the comfy goodness of muslin.” They are totally correct. This is a great gift for mom.

2. Minted Silhouettes

I’ve wanted to get silhouettes done of my kids for a while. My hesitation is usually the cost and the fear that I’d get all 3 kids to the artist and one would melt down/ freak out and the prints would come out terrible. Then, while creating my holiday cards at Minted I discovered they now have custom silhouettes. There are different types and colors and you can even order them framed. They are less expensive then most places I have seen silhouettes and here’s the best part: you just upload a photo and they create a draft. I took photos of each of my kids with my iPhone (Tommy took a few tries to get him to stay still!) and the next day I had a preview of my silhouettes. I love that I got to pick a color that reminded me of each of my children and that I could add their name. Dads: this is an easy way to create an amazing holiday gift your wife will cherish forever! Here’s a peek at how ours came out:

3. Boden

Most moms that like Boden spend their time and money shopping the Mini Boden line. I am guilty of shopping Mini Boden for almost 2 years before even browsing what they had for women. Moms deserve awesome clothes just as much as their littles ones and Boden’s women’s line has so much to offer. Their clothes, shoes and accessories make great gifts. I was recently given this Boden sweater as a gift and I don’t think I’ve ever owned a softer sweater. Keep an eye out for all the great Boden holiday sales and promotions they offer.

4. Tieks

We’ve posted about Tieks before. They are hands down my favorite shoes. I used to love buying heels, but now as a busy mom on the go, I almost always wear ballet flats. Tieks are so comfortable (even for long walks with a double stroller) but still look fashionable. There are so many great colors to choose from. The best part about giving Tieks as a gift is that they come presented beautifully. Dads: you wouldn’t even have to wrap this gift! This is how they arrive:

5. Hatley

Hatley is another brand that’s a favorite for my kids that I recently discovered has cool gifts for adults too. From fun kitchen accents (like this bear tea pot) to the most comfortable pajamas, Hatley has a ton of great gifts for Mom. I might have gotten Hatley pajamas in the same print as my kids this year (photo to come)!

6. Massage Envy

I’ll be honest, I was always a little hesitant to try the “chain” spas. I am so glad I finally tried one: Massage Envy. It was the best prenatal massage I have ever had. There’s a Massage Envy location just a few miles from my house and their late night hours made it possible for me to go after my husband got home from work. It was a very clean, relaxing spa. I was so impressed with how well they listened to what I needed and kept asking throughout how I was doing. I left refreshed and all my pregnancy aches and pains in my back really were much better. There are so many Massage Envy locations around the country and a gift card would make the perfect gift for Mom.

7. Epson

I take A LOT of pictures. The problem is, I never print them. Every once in a while something happens to my phone or computer that makes me panic and think that I should print more photos. I try my best to make photo books, but I’m not great at remembering to do that either. I found a solution: the new Epson PictureMate. This printer is wireless and prints really high quality photos at home. You can print pictures from your phone without uploading to your computer/ connecting a bunch of wires. It’s so convenient and easy to use.   The Epson PictureMate is like having your own photo lab, but it’s tiny enough to store anywhere. You can use it to print  4”x6” and 5”x7” photos. What mom wouldn’t want a way to print all her iPhone photos without leaving the house?

Get Mom some great gifts – she’s a hard worker!
