The Chirping Moms

Back To School Shopping with Hanna Andersson {& Coupon}

August 5, 2015

When people ask me to name my favorite brands of kids’ clothes, I always include Hanna Andersson. The colors, styles, comfort and most importantly the durability make Hanna Andersson one of my top choices for children’s clothes. I also find the sizing to be made to fit longer. For example their size 4-6 (110) in girls fits both of my girls really well. Typically Alex is a 4t/5 and the Maggie is a 5t/6. Their clothes fit longer and hold up to plenty of play and washing so they look great throughout the entire time they fit the child. So, when it’s time to shop for Back to School, we love heading to Hanna.

This year, my girls wanted to pick out some of their own clothes for school. So instead of ordering online I decided to take them to our local Hanna Andersson store at the Bridgewater Mall, to browse and shop for themselves.

The store also holds a special place in my heart. My grandmother always took me shopping for clothes; when I was a little girl and up until I was in my 20’s. The year before my grandmother passed away, Maggie was heading to school for the first time, at 2.5. Even though she was only going to school 2 times a week, my grandmother insisted she needed “back to school clothes” and wanted to take her shopping. She loved Hanna Andersson and took Maggie to their store for her “back to school” outfits. We have such great memories from that first back to school shopping trip for Maggie with her great-grandmother!

When we arrived at our local Hanna Andersson store, the first thing the girls spotted were skirts and animals: two of their favorite things! I let them each pick out a few things and then I helped them narrow the choices down. What’s awesome with Hanna Andersson clothes is that they are so easy to mix and match. What’s even better for us, is having 2 girls in the same size, all their choices can be intermixed, creating even more outfits. They don’t mind sharing clothes (for now!) and we came away with a great back to school wardrobe.

Julie an her kids took a trip to their local Hanna Andersson store too. They shopped near DC at the Tyson’s Corner location. This year Julie will be sending her youngest, Abby, to school for the first time. So they had fun picking out her first school dress.

Her son Andrew spotted the Star Wars lunch boxes right away!

Julie and I both enjoyed shopping in store at Hanna Andersson. They kids had fun looking at the colorful, comfy clothes and picking things out for school. The staff at both stores was welcoming and friendly to the eager, active kid running around “browsing”. The kids are set for school in clothes they like that these moms approve of! Head here to find your closest store.
