The Chirping Moms

First Day of School Interview (Free Printable)

August 4, 2015

The first day of school is such a sentimental moment, at least for me.  We are officially saying good-bye to the freedom & fun of summer and entering a new year full of school adventures.  To help document the memories, I created this fun First Day of School printable.  Just print & have your child fill out when they get home from school.  You can save them from year to year and by the time that they graduate high school, you will have a sweet little memory book to document these special first days in their lives.
Click here to download & print or Right click on the image to open it in a new window.  You can save it or print from there.  Make sure to scale it to size when printing!

Stepping into a new school year also means saying good-bye to summer flip-flops, sandals, and water shoes and and saying hello to some new school shoes.  My kids get so excited when it’s time to shop for their new Back to School shoes.  One of our favorite shops for kids’ shoes is Stride Rite.  We not only love the Stride Rite brand, but also love the wonderful variety of brands that Stride Rite carries including Keds, Saucony, Sperry, & more.  Over the years, I have continually found great prices & quality on shoes for every child in my family.
Going on five this year, Andrew has become one active little boy who loves to be outside.  This year, we picked Andrew’s new school shoes from the Stride Rite Made2Play collection.  Every pair of shoes in the Made2Play collection is machine washable & features a dirt-shedding, non-marking outside, anti-stink liners, and reinforced durability at the toe.  These sneakers are perfect for him & I love that I can throw them in the wash whenever they get dirty or stinky.  He picked some bright blue sneakers & he hasn’t stopped moving in them since we first got them!
Not only did Andrew get some new sneakers, but it was time for him to pick out some new rain boots!  This kid loves his rain boots & will wear them everyday, if possible.  With his old boots getting smaller, it was time to get some new durable rain boots.  Let’s just say that our little superhero is in love with his new Spiderman rain boots from Stride Rite!
Courtney’s girls were excited to get some new fashionable shoes & boots from Stride Rite as they get ready to head off into their new school year.  Alex chose the pink & glitter Keds that are cute, but comfortable enough for everyday wear.  Maggie is loving her new boots & they will be perfect with fall soon to arrive.

We are excited to team up with Stride Rite to help one lucky winner step into the new school year with a pair of shoes (based on availability) from the Made2Play Collection.  Enter below for a chance to win and make sure to visit the Giveaways page for all of our fun back to school giveaways that we are hosting this week!
