We’re pretty excited for the holiday season to kick off. We’re kicking off the holiday season on the blog with Christmas books and Christmas pajamas for the family! For the first year, we’re going to do the 25 Days of Christmas books at our house. Check out Julie’s post from a few years back for details and her awesome Christmas book list. We’ve collected quite a few holiday books over the years and each year I look forward to adding more to the pile. Here’s my list of new books for our Christmas book collection:

10 Books for Christmas 2017

1. The Little Reindeer 2. The Nutcracker 3. The Carpenter’s Gift  4. The 12 Dogs of Christmas 5. Walk This World at Christmastime 6.The Christmas Eve Tree  7. S is for Santa 8. Madeline’s Christmas 9.The Night Before Christmas 10. The Advent Storybook

We add these to so many Christmas favorites like The Polar Express, Twas the Night Before Christmas, Silent Night and The Legend of Saint Nicholas. For 25 more Christmas titles, click here for Julie’s list.

Holiday Pjs for the Family

There’s another “collection” besides books that grows in our house each Christmas season and that’s our holiday pj collection. There will certainly come a day where my crew will refuse to wear matching Christmas pajamas, but until that day comes, we’ll be matching all season long. For many years now, I’ve gotten the kids holiday pajamas from Hanna Andersson. They are soft, well made and each year there are such great patterns for the whole family. There are a few patterns that return each year and a few new ones. We have one pair of Hanna jams, the Dear Deer Collection, that have been brought out every Christmas for years. They still make the same pattern, so to have the kids match, I just add to the collection of sizes from that pattern. Even our dog Jersey has a pair of Dear Deer pajamas!

This year we went for the St. Nick pajamas. I had this pajama for Tommy as an infant and passed it on to Miles. I was quite sad that no one would be wearing it this season as it was too small. To my surprise, when I was showing Maggie and Alex the pajamas so they could choose this year’s matching jammies, they picked St. Nick for the family. Looks like we’ll have a few more years in Hanna’s St. Nick pattern!

The sales have been amazing at Hanna Andersson lately. Today they have 50% off all Bright Kids Basics and new customers save and extra 15% on their total order (enter code HANNANEW15). There’s still time to shop their holiday pjs line. I may have even ordered myself a pair this year!
