The Chirping Moms

Close to the Heart with BabyBjörn {& Giveaway}

February 16, 2015

With all three of my babies, a baby carrier has been a necessity. Maggie, my first, never liked to be put down. With Alex, I needed my hands free to take care of Maggie, who at 18months, was still a baby herself. Tommy, my 3rd, has been an easy baby (so far). He is totally content sitting in a bouncy seat or bassinet while I tend to his sisters. He just stares at us and smiles. Although he doesn’t seem to need me to pick him up all the time, I want to. I love carrying sweet little babies around, and despite having two older kids who need meals made, homework help, baths, etc, I want to be able to keep Tommy close as much as I can. Thanks to my BabyBjörn carrier, I can keep him close to my heart, while taking care of Maggie and Alex.

I got my first BabyBjörn at my baby shower 6 years ago. I’ve used it many days, nights when the kids wouldn’t sleep and it was key on trips both near and far. When Tommy was born, I heard about the new Baby Carrier One. We tried it out right around when he was big enough to go in it, and have been using it since. Now that he can hold his head up, he is loving facing out. He cracks up watching his sisters, so he really enjoys having extra time throughout the day to see what they are doing. When I feed them dinner, I feel like Tommy is now part of the action, watching the girls and interacting.

For me, I’ve enjoyed having more time with Tommy close to my heart. When he’s in the Baby Carrier One, I feel like we get extra snuggles throughout the day. Back in 1973, the founder of BabyBjörn said “Carrying a newborn close to your heart is like being in seventh heaven.” It’s been the foundation of the company ever since. The goal of baby carriers is for parents to love carrying their children and for the baby to love being carried. From using the carrier to carry my babies while I prepare dinner, to carrying them while traveling overseas, they’ve made the experience wonderful.

The BabyBjörn Carrier One is the company’s new generation baby carrier, complete with plenty of options for carrying your child. There are four front and back carrying positions. The waist belt and padded shoulder straps provide ergonomic support to relieve pressure on your back and it’s also safe for babies hips. The carrier grows with your child and is suitable for ages 0-3.

This week, we’ve teamed up with BabyBjörn to send one lucky winner a Baby Carrier One. We’re thrilled to have a chance to send one of these fantastic carriers to someone to carry their baby “close to heart”. Please enter using the Rafflecopter below.
