Who needs a good pumpkin recipe? We’ve made pumpkin chocolate chip blondies, pumpkin chocolate chip brownies and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Then we made what’s kind of a combo recipe of all three and they are our favorite. I wasn’t sure what to call them so they’ll be Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Squares. They are so delicious and pretty easy to make too.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Squares

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can of pumpkin
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 1-2 cups of chocolate chips

Directions:

Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 baking dish. In one bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt and pumpkin pie spice. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Then mix in the egg, can of pumpkin and vanilla. Once it’s well mixed, slowly add in the flour mixture and mix until it’s well combined. Last fold in the chocolate chips and pour it into the pan. Bake for about 40 min.

We cut ours into small squares but you could also use a pumpkin shaped cookie cutter too if you have one. These are by far our favorite fall dessert. We made them for Halloween but they will definitely be served for Thanksgiving dessert too!

Pin this pumpkin recipe for later!
