Easter Basket Filler Ideas! (And GIVEAWAY)

February 28, 2013

For more Easter inspiration,  please follow our Pinterest boards for our latest pins or visit our Seasonal tab for all of our Easter related posts!

Easter bucket So I have already started to think (but I have yet to actually purchase!) about items for our Easter baskets in this house!  It still seems a long time away, but with Easter arriving early this year and baby on the way soon, I better get organized!!  Today, I am going to share some Easter basket ideas for all of my kids (including the one on the way!).  Hope you enjoy some of my picks and would love if you would share some of your ideas with us!

Personalized Easter bucket

First, I am SO excited to share with you our adorable Easter buckets that came from Etsy shop:  The Sweet Pink Bowtique.  Why do I love these buckets?  They are the perfect size—not too big that I have to fill them like crazy, but enough space to get a few special treats in!  And these will be perfect for some of our town’s Easter egg hunts, super light and easy to carry.  And can we say how cute they are?!?!

Here’s some more information from The Sweet Pink Bowtique:

Now what will I be filling our Easter pails with?????

Easter Basket Fillers
Aiden (4 Year Old):
  • Super straw Cup from Bin There Designs (Andrew will receive the matching sippy cup!)  We featured Bin There Designs as part of our Friday Favorites series, click here for more information about this great shop, which also features bag tags, sand buckets, tumblers and more!
  • Disney’s Sing Along Songs:  The Lion King:  Both “Chirping Moms” house are Lion King obsessed and I just thought this would be a fun addition to our video collection!
  • Melissa & Doug Wooden Shape Sorting Clock:  Aiden is really into telling time right now so I thought this would be a fun toy to add to our collection.
  • The Biggest Easter Basket Ever:  We love these series of books (Biggest Pumpkin, Biggest Christmas Tree, Etc.)—a fun festive read!
Easter Basket Fillers
Andrew (2 Year Old):
  • Personalized Shirt from A Personal Thing (More information and GIVEAWAY from shop posted below)
  • Easter Eggspress! (Thomas & Friends):  My little Thomas fan will love this activity book with stickers, coloring, and other activities for UNDER four dollars!
  • Diggin Rigs Power Crane:  I think my construction Andrew will love doing Playdoh with a special Playdoh construction vehicle.  There are lots of options on Amazon right now, just have to decide which one.
  •  LeapFrog Tag Book: Let’s Explore Things That Go:  We LOVE our Tag pen and I think that Andrew would go crazy for this book that is all about vehicles!

Future Sweet Girl’s Easter Bucket:

  • Spring Yellow Baby Hat from ReignBow Gifts (More information posted below!)
  • CUTEST rabbit baby gown from Skip to My Lou My Dear (More information posted below!)
  • You Are My Sunshine:  Just a little cute addition to our extensive board book collection just for precious baby girl!
  • Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes:  I have heard great things about this toy for little ones at a great price!

Now, just a few more details about some of my favorite Easter basket finds:
Easter Shirt Toddler This adorable bunny shirt came from A Personal Thing, a shop that specializes in monogramming and appliqué.  I love the colors and think it is perfect for little one’s to wear during Easter season.  The Etsy shop consists on mostly children’s shirts and clothing at this time. Unique monogrammed gift items can be found on their Facebook page.

Newborn Hat Now take a close look at the most adorable newborn hat!  This hat was created by Etsy shop:  ReignBow Gifts.  It is SUPER soft and created from a stretch jersey.  What a perfect way to keep the baby warm on those breezy spring days.  ReignBow Gifts is owned and operated by Kathleen, who creates products using upcycled, quality materials.  There are a wide range of items in her shop from burp clothes to coffee cozies to hand stamped shirts to ruffle bustle dresses.
I also love how this item arrived.  It is beautifully wrapped and would be a perfect gift to send to a friend or family member.  All items arrive in reused packaging, wrapped in ecofriendly tissue paper and tied with a splash of color.

Easter Newborn

And this baby girl will be SO darling on Easter morning when she is donned in this adorable layette Easter gown.  This SO cute gown comes from Skip to My Lou My Dear.  What a great design for Easter time and the gown is super soft, perfect for a little newborn baby.  There are several great options for Easter, both for boys and girls.

This item also came beautifully packaged and would again be a perfect gift to send to family or friends.  Not only does Skip to My Lou My Dear carry Easter shirts, but there are some great items for summer and holidays.  I also love the monogrammed swimsuits that they feature in their shop!

I would love my son, Michael, to win the Easter bunny basket shirt or the green gingham truck shirt. I also love the truck 2 shirt and am putting it on his wishlist!

Cute stuff! Love the idea of the personalized cups – so easy and always needed. And a great reminder to get that Melissa and Doug clock right away. Finally, what a sweet newborn hat!! I wish I had gotten one for James three months ago!

We LOVE the Take Along Tunes!!! My oldest is 4, and I kept it on the changing table when he was really teeny. He was distracted by the lights and sounds to stay happy during changes. Enjoy 🙂
