Earth Day is next week and I’ve been trying to come up with a few easy activities for the kids to do as part of their distance learning at home. I had my boys (preschool) do a craft I did with the girls back when they were in preschool: mess free painting planet Earth. It was super easy and they had a lot of fun with it. It’s great because they create a “painting” with making zero mess. This is an easy craft for toddlers and preschoolers.

Easy Craft for Toddlers and Preschoolers: Mess Free Painted Planet Earth

Supplies:

  1. Zip lock bag
  2. Paper plate
  3. Green and blue paint

Directions:

First put a few dots of green and blue paint on the paper plate.

Next, put the paper plate into the plastic bag.

Then have the child “paint” the plate by rubbing the paint all over the plate. They are only touching the outside of the plastic bag, therefore not getting messy at all.

Last, carefully pull the plate out of the zip lock bag and let it dry. Enjoy your pretty painted planet Earth!
