Easy Kids Craft: Q Tip Painting

May 15, 2021

patriotic crafts for kids

We love doing Q tip painting: it’s easy, pretty little mess for a painting craft and typically keeps attention for a long time. For this Q tip painting, we made it a patriotic painting! I love anything red, white and blue and this craft looks so pretty hanging for all the festive summer holidays coming. Ready for some red, white and blue Q tip painting?

I have watched him: push babies off play structures, bite kids until they bleed and hold kids underwater at the pool...he’s not getting better

To make the star shapes, I taped on stars and then removed them. This way they can Q-tip paint all over the paper as messy as they like and then when you remove the stars, there is a nice white star in the middle of the painting. Also, it’s fun for the kids to watch that part.

Red, White and Blue Q tip Patriotic painting

Supplies:

  1. Paper
  2. Q-tips
  3. red and blue paint
  4. Tape

Directions:

Stick star shapes onto white paper with tape (rolled on the back). You can use star foam stickers, stars cut from paper, anything. Using qtips, let kids make dots all over the paper with red & blue paint. Once dry, peel off the stars.
