Spiderman fan in the house? This year it’s all about Spidey here. Teddy wears his Spider-man costume daily and I had a sneaky feeling that’s what the birthday party request would be. I wanted to have a low key party at the house with some family and friends. Here’s how we threw an easy Spiderman party.

DIY Spiderman Cake 

I like getting simple, basic cakes and decorating them at home in the kids’ “theme”. You can even save decor from year to year. I’ve had this “Teddy” cake topper from Etsy for years. I got a Spider-Man number 4 and some stars from Scarlett Studio too (which I can re-use too!). I have a lot of fun decorating their birthday cakes and don’t have the stress over whether or not a baked a great cake. It’s also one less mess to make! 

Since it was a morning party, the other food we had: bagels, donuts, granola and cereal bars, coffee (for the parents), water and juice boxes (for the kids).

I ordered this Spiderman party invite and printed 1 as a keepsake and then uploaded it to use it on Evite. 

The Spidey Party Table

• Then I covered the top in brown kraft paper

Spiderman Party Clothes

I found a cute, inexpensive #4 Spidey shirt on Etsy and then of course… most of the party he wore his costume! We have this costume in a few sizes for my boys and it’s their favorite. 

Number Birthday Badge: This is probably my favorite thing I got for Teddy’s birthday this year. I wish I had gotten them for all of my kids’ birthdays over the years. A birthday badge that you can customize the colors. I got it from Scarlett Studios (Etsy and she has her own site too). She was the nicest person to work with and it’s where I found the stars for the cake too.

• On the invite I added that kids could wear super hero costumes. This was fun because even some adults came dressed up! Then in addition I put out bins of tons of our own costumes we’ve collected over the years.
