Now that winter is winding down, its time to start planning those spring breaks. From city getaways to water parks and historic hot spots, I’ve rounded up several destinations sure to please every traveler in your family for a whole list of family friendly Spring Break ideas.

Spring Break Picks for History Loving Families

Williamsburg, Virginia – History is a great common denominator and Greater Williamsburg is an ideal spring break option for keeping parents, grandparents and kids of all ages engaged. We spent a multi-generational trip visiting historic Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown as well Busch Gardens and it was a great mix of history, culture and fun. Boston, Massachusetts – Boston’s Freedom Trail makes learning history fun for the whole family. The red-lined route leads to historically significant sites related to the American Revolution like museums, meetinghouses, churches and burying grounds. While you’re there, make sure to visit Faneuil Hall, the Boston Museum of Science, Boston Children’s Museum and take a ride on the Boston Swan Boats.
