The Chirping Moms

Favorite Fridays and a Peek into our Living Rooms!

June 1, 2012

We wanted to join in on the fun over at Kelly’s Korner where she is featuring living rooms today!  So we thought we would give you a sneak peek into our homes and without further ado, here you go:)
Tweeting Mom #1, Courtney, is showing you her favorite thing about her beautiful living room.  Aren’t these signs adorable?  She found them on Etsy and just knew she had to get them on her walls, as she sings this song to her girls all the time!  Maybe another day, she will give you a peek into the rest of her room–it’s quite adorable!

Since we have been out of town all week having a wild time at the shore, our house is actually clean on a Friday morning!  Here is the view of our living room as soon as you walk in.  Our house is very open, so you can see almost every room on this floor from the moment you walk into our front door.  Since we moved in, we have painted the entire room, added the accent wall, installed the ceiling fan, and added all the cute decor to make it our own cozy spot!  We spend a lot of time in here-reading, watching television, and of course playing toys!!!!!!

And I just got these lamps at Homegoods (my little rascal 18 month old knocked down our old ones and shattered the base) and haven’t took the price tag off yet!  I was trying to find lamps that didn’t look like they would break if they would happen to accidentally fall so these are made out of a straw like material.  I  haven’t decided “yay” or “nay”…what do you think?
And for my favorite things this Friday, I’m getting myself ready for some hot summer days!  While we were down at the shore this week staying with Courtney, she had brought a small pool to the beach that she purchased at Wal-Mart for one dollar!  Yes, 1 dollar;)  We definitely will be picking up one of these before we head to the NC beach in a couple weeks.  My boys can play in the water all they want and I won’t have to worry about that strong ocean current!
And I just picked up one of these pineapple corers on a whim about a month ago and it has changed my pineapple eating ways!  We have picked up a pineapple every time we hit the store now because it is SO easy to core and cut the fruit.  No more cutting off the skin or feeling like you waste the pineapple as you massacre the edge off!
I purchased this one, but it has gone up in price since I picked it up.  Must be some high demand, but definitely recommend purchasing this one or something similar for some summer pineapple:)

And my last favorite thing of the week are these cute matching shorts found at one of the best stores on Earth, Target!  They are just the Circo brand and I’m pretty they were five dollars or less, but aren’t they adorable?  I’m pretty sure they will be wearing these again on the 4th of July!
Hope you all have a great weekend—-I’m hoping for lots of sunshine this weekend as we have a big picnic that I’m organizing here with the Newcomer’s Club here in town!!!!!

I'm a Etsy fan! We have many home decor items from the various stores. You just can't beat the creativity and prices.
You're home is beautifully decorated. The mix of colors and textures is wonderful.
    You've done an amazing job!
Target was my go-to store for our son's clothes when he was little.
