First Giveaway of 2014: A Starbucks Verismo Brewer

Over the holidays, each member of our family got new & exciting gifts. Maggie plays with her new horses & her Sofia the First Castle non stop. Alex has probably logged about 50 miles on her new grocery cart. She pushes it around the house all day, filled with her new instruments. Tom & I were lucky enough to get some great new things too. One of our favorite things, was a special surprise that arrived from Staples: A Starbucks Verismo Brewer. 

Tom & I really enjoy coffee. Neither of us can make it a morning without a cup or two. When we were city dwellers, we’d start each day with Starbucks. When we moved to the ‘burbs, Tom still got his Starbucks fix on workdays, but I was left at home trying my best to brew something comparable. I wasn’t too successful until the Starbucks Verismo arrived last month. It’s awesome. 

It was perfect timing; arriving just a few days before Christmas. We still had a lot to do before Santa arrived & testing out a new product that made espresso shots sure helped our energy level. 

In addition to making great coffee, the size of the Starbucks Verismo is perfect for our small kitchen. I took pictures with a mug in place, to show just how narrow the machine is (I also wanted to show off another one of my favorite gifts: my aunt found me a “chirping” mug). 

The Verismo has a high-pressure brewing system that heats up & is ready to make Starbucks-quality beverages in less than 15 seconds. Two features to point out are the integrated rinse function helps keep machine clean & the auto-off that activates after 5 minutes to save energy. In addition to coffee, you can make lattes & espresso. The milk pods can also be used to top your little one’s chocolate milk or hot chocolate with creamy steamed milk.

  31. When it's available, grande 2 pump nonfat with whip but NO sprinkles Pumpkin Spice latte! The other six months of the year, I get a grande vanilla nonfat with whip latte 🙂

  39. My favorite hot drink is the Cinnamon Dolce Latte my favorite cold drink is a Carmel Frappucino! But honestly I don't think I've ever tried a Starbucks drink that I didn't like!

  43. Caramel Apple Spice is definitely my fave but they have a couple teas I love & the white chocolate mocha is good too 🙂
