Free Printable Spirit Riding Free Lunch Box Notes & A Fun Recipe

August 28, 2018

If you love Spirit Riding Free as much as my kids do, then you will absolutely enjoy these free printables of lunch box notes and fun, delicious snacks to munch on while watching the movie. Get the free spirit notes and popcorn recipe here!

Both of my girls started watching the Spirit Riding Free show last summer and it inspired us to head to the nearby horse farm many times to try horseback riding. Since then they’ve read the books, asked for the toys for birthdays and play “Spirit” all the time. I was really excited to tell them that the new season, season 6, came out last week.

We have been trying to make a mini bucket list of things we want to do the last 2 weeks of summer. One of them is to have a “girls night” (me + them) to watch some of the new episodes of Spirit Riding Free.

Do your kids watch the show? If you’re not familiar with it, Spirit Riding Free is set in the 19th century in the small town of Miradero, Texas. It stars a 12-year-old girl named Lucky Prescott, who recently moved to town from the big city.

Soon after arriving, she encounters a mustang named Spirit. She also meets other friends and horses and together they all have tons of adventures and scavenger hunts.

We also made this fun (and very easy) melted and smooth white chocolate popcorn recipe to enjoy while watching.

Easy Sprinkle Popcorn Treats

Ingredients: (this recipe can easily be doubled to make a larger batch of treats)

  • 5 cups of popped popcorn
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • half a bag of mini marshmallows
  • sprinkles!

Directions: Grease a 9X13 baking sheet pan. Melt the butter and marshmallows on the stove in a pot, you can also microwave the popcorn if you like.

Add in the popcorn and the melted white chocolate, sprinkles or candy melts of your choice and stir until combined in a large bowl.

Put into the baking pan and press to make it flat. Let it cool and then cut into squares.

We shopped at Walmart for the ingredients and used Pop Secret popcorn. My kids like the great butter taste and I like that it reminds me of  life’s simple joys with friends and family for as long as I can remember.

Spirit Riding Free Lunchbox Notes

Since watching the show together was something they really wanted to do with mom, I thought I’d make some lunch box notes with a Spirit Riding Free theme to pop in their lunch boxes.

I am not the best/most creative when it comes to packing lunches but one thing that the girls always look forward to is my notes. I like making these printable sheets because it saves me time in the AM and I can share them here and hopefully help another mom too.

This printable is very versatile because you can make it into a coloring page, a printable calendar, or a printable wall art too. Depending on how you want to use it!

I used some of the Spirit Riding Free images from the free printables they offer online: Spirit Riding Free Activities. If you’re kids like the show, these are really easy activities to print for them to enjoy.

Make your kids’ favorite show a memorable one by adding in tiny touches like this! I’m very sure that they’ll love it and enjoy making it with you.
