I love making festive holiday treats for the kids. Maggie gets so excited for dessert that “looks like something” related to Christmas! These are my two favorites. They are also VERY easy to make. Enjoy!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Cookie

I made these for Maggie’s preschool class last week & they were a big hit. I had to consult Julie (the baker) about the best way to make them after seeing a few pictures on Pinterest. What we came up with: Get sugar cookies (I used bag mix but slice and bake would be even easier). Bake for 2 min less than instructed. Take them out & press pretzels on for antlers. Put back into the oven for 2 minutes. Take them out & press on chocolate chip eyes & an m&m nose. Make sure to press them down or when the cookie cools they will fall off.

Frosty the Donut

All you need is a bag or box of donuts, orange jelly beans (or half a baby carrot) & black cake decorating gel. Although, if you are making them for toddlers, like I was, I would skip the decorating gel & use a tiny bit of icing to “glue” on some mini chocolate chips. The black icing made quite a mess on the kids faces/ clothes!
