The Chirping Moms

Guest Post: Enjoying the Holidays

December 14, 2012

Hi my name is Sharee’ Andrade and I blog over at mom FITting it all in. I am a mom, I am a wife, I am a full-time out of the house worker trying to FIT it all in while making healthy active choices for myself and my family. Everything I do – I do because I love my kids, my hubby and ME (a realization that is getting easier for me to accept). So come and join me on this journey. I am open to advice, ideas and laughter – so let’s get into my FAVORITE time of the year….

As Christmas approaches & 2012 comes to an end I just want to make it STOP!

I want to embrace it and absorb everything about the moment – the excitement of finding the perfect gift, seeing my babies circle what they want in the Toys R Us ad, the anticipation of the presents under the tree, the Christmas music playing in the store, the smell of the Christmas trees, the family photos, the family gatherings, the food and the cuddling and the list will go on…

Enjoying the holidays through the eyes of children is the best feeling in the world – it is like being able to be a kid again.

So being a kid is what us adults are doing this year…………….

Homemade crafts.

We are going to wear matching pj’s on Christmas Eve – did I say matching pj’s with our names on them.

Candy making, backing, EATING, trying to peak and find out what I got for Christmas.
Hot chocolate buffet – marshmallows, peppermint, cinnamon, whip cream, you name it.

Stockings- filled to the top – like small trinket items, gum, nail polishes, razors, undies.
Waking up at the crack of dawn excited to see what Santa my hubby bought me. Tearing off wrapping paper so fast…
So as I enjoy EACH and everything I can every moment with my kids as a kid HOLD up your hot cocoa cup and grin and smile – take it all in BECAUSE I am.
