The Chirping Moms

Friday Favorites

June 22, 2012

We are starting to think about getting Maggie “big girl” furniture. Our plan is to create a room for both girls & when Alex is ready she will move in. Then, the nursery will be a nursery for another baby (maybe!) or it will become a guest room for a little while. I started to browse & love what I am seeing from The Land of Nod (might be too pricey) & Etsy. These are some of my FAVORITES!

Beds:ย

Dressers:

Bookcase:

Drawer Knobs:ย

For the Wall:
And Garland!:

My two problems: what color to paint the room & what sort of “theme” or bedding colors to go with. Oh wait….one other issue: convince my husband these beds are TOO cute to pass up!

Comment & help me!

Those beds are so cute, I am also in the process of setting up Jayda's room to be a big girl girl, dont know where to start because after 5 boys i have no clue about a girls room! I love that dresser also, we have the bookcase (wonderful thing to have).

      Hi Pamela,
I'd love to help you get some inspiration for your daughter's room. I put together tons of rooms for Nod, and am in the process of designing my daughter's big girl room. If you'd like me to put together a mood board for you, just send me an email at danielle.kurtz@landofnod.com.

We'd recommend a light grey for the walls, it'll add a nice neutral backdrop for those saturated beds. For the bedding, we'd skip the theme and instead go for classic patterns (gingham, dots, stripes & plaids) in pops of bright colors.

What cute ideas! I am already seeing a color theme- with your images you have pulled. I am loving the minty green walls with bright pink accents (like the bed or bedding) combination. I am going to paint my daughters room those colors, and thanks for sharing the flower knobs, I think they would be perfect for her new room!

I am painting this week, and will be sure to share them on my blog soon! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog as well. You have an amazing blog! Kari thesweetestmemoryblog@blogspot.com
