The Chirping Moms

Fun With Costumes All Year Long {& Giveaway}

June 2, 2014

For some people, costumes are for Halloween. Not in our house. Costumes are for any day of the year! I’ve written about this many times, but my girls love to play dress up. Some days they dress as animals or ballerinas, and lately many days I have two cowgirls. Their favorite costumes are definitely their princess dresses. Maggie often asks if I can please get some “mommy size” princess dresses, so we can all be “ready for the ball”. When it’s not Halloween, it’s not easy to find a variety of costumes as a good price. This past Christmas and birthday, my girls wanted dress up clothes. I wasn’t sure where to look for reasonably priced, nice costumes.
Then, we were heading to Disney World and I wanted to get a few costumes for them to bring along (so we could avoid buying them there). That’s when I found Costume Express. I had shopped the site for Halloween costumes before, but never thought to visit the site just to shop. They have so many kids’ costumes and the quality is great. Also, they always have promotions and coupon codes to offer (your first visit to the site will get you a fantastic code)! There’s even some Frozen gear in stock.
The girls love their princess dresses from Costume Express. They took turns being Snow White in Disney world, because they both thought that the “real cape” was awesome. They wear their yellow Belle dress almost daily since we returned from Disney World.
One of our favorite moments in Disney World was when Alex spotted Snow White at dinner. She jumped out of her seat, screaming in excitement. She kept telling Snow White “I have the same dress as you”!
Now for this week’s giveaway: one lucky winner will receive $50 to shop Costume Express! Please enter using the Rafflecopter below. Good luck everyone!

    Quinn loves Snow White and Frozen, so I'm sure we'd wind up with one of those. Unless she was having a Batman moment, haha!

    The pink sock hop child's costume would be perfect for my daughter's 7th birthday in a couple months. It's a 50's theme so a poodle skirt is mandatory!
