Getting To Work Making Gifts

December 6, 2013

Maggie is really into Christmas this year. For the 1st time, she also gets that you give people gifts & it’s not JUST about getting them. She has a whole list of people she wants to give gifts to. I told her she can make gifts & then we can wrap them & make cards. She is very excited. We got to work on our first gifts, using the Kiwi Crate’s “Gifts Made By Me” . The box comes packed with supplies & directions for making handmade cards, gifts & wrapping.

The step by step directions, with labeled bags that show you what to use in each step, make it very easy to craft with your little ones. It’s also great that you making the painting portion for both the gifts & cards at the same time. Then you can just assemble when everything dries.

We made 4 cards & 2 journals to use as gifts. Maggie keeps saying she isn’t ready to wrap them yet, because she likes to look at them. She is so proud of her work & can’t wait to give them out on Christmas. Right now you can get $5 off the special edition Holiday Crates (like the Gifts Made By Me crate) with code JOY5.

If you’re not familiar with Kiwi Crate, it’s a subscription for kids that delivers hands-on fun every month. The reason it stands apart from the rest: it’s reviewed by experts & then tested by kids.

With each crate that’s developed, Kiwi Crate’s child development experts review all of the activities to ensure they’re developmentally appropriate and enriching. Then,

their test crew of kids make sure the projects are engaging, fun, and universally appealing.

A Kiwi Crate subscription would make a great gift. In addition to subscribing, you can also buy just one crate at a time. Another fun aspect is the “sibling add on”, where your Kiwi Crate comes with supplies for 2 kids & double the fun.

Be sure to check out the Holiday Crates! In addition to the Gifts Made By Me, some of the other holiday crates include: Antarctic Adventure, Little Christmas & Crafty Christmas. Remember to use code JOY5 for $5 off these crates.

Enjoy your crafty kids!
