The Chirping Moms

Halloween Decorations

September 17, 2013

For more Halloween inspiration, visit our Seasonal tab at the top of our page or follow our Pinterest boards for our latest pins!

During the summer, we spend a lot of time outside of the house. Whether it’s running around the yard, vacations or hanging at the pool, we are rarely indoors. Once fall rolls around, it’s time to spend more time in the house & decorating for the fall & winter holidays, makes the time indoors a little more fun. We’ve just started adding some fall decor to the house. We haven’t broke out all the Halloween bins from the basement just yet, but these are some of our favorite new items. We’re excited that a lot of the Etsy shops below are all offering great coupon codes for our readers. To start, here’s my newest DIY Halloween decor item:

Mason Jar Jack-O-Lantern

Supplies:

Mason Jar

Orange spray paint

Black ribbon

Paper

Scissors

Tape

Small candle

Directions: Use the paper to cut out shapes to create your jack-o-lanterns face. Tape them onto the mason jar. Double sided tape works well or tape very close to the edge of the paper.

Spray paint the mason jar. Spray right over the paper face. When it is completely dry, remove the paper. Tie the black ribbon at the top. Place the candle inside & your jack-o-lantern is all set for Halloween!
