You know what’s scarier than all the goblins & monsters at Halloween? My baking skills! This is why 99% of festive holiday desserts I make are no-bake. These monster Halloween rice krispie treats were super easy! We brought them to a school party and my kids were so excited to bring something “spooky”. Here’s how we made them:

Halloween Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients:
  1. Rice Krispies (or similar cereal), 6 cups
  2. Butter, 2 tablespoons
  3. Marshmallows, 1 bag
  4. orange and/or green chocolate to melt
  5. Candy eyes

Directions: I follow the directions for rice krispie treats on the back of the cereal box, which is to melt 2 tablespoons of butter and a pack of marshmallows in a pot and then stir in the rice krispies. Then press into a 9×13 pan. To make them into monsters, let them cool completely. Cut into squares. Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Dip the top of the rice krispie treat in the melted chocolate. Before the chocolate melts, stick on the candy eyes. I put the eyes in all different spots and added 3 eyes for a few of them to make them look more “spooky”. Enjoy!
