Kids and Kindness

January 9, 2014

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is never wasted.

– Aesop

We want to introduce a series that we will be sharing all year long called Kids and Kindness. Watching my kids during the holiday season, I realized how much joy that they have in “giving” to others may it be dropping some change in the Salvation Army bucket, wrapping a gift for their sibling, or helping prepare a little gift for their teacher.  I want to inspire my children all year long to grow a heart of compassion and kindness.  So throughout the next year, Courtney and I have challenged ourselves to create a series that will inspire kindness in young children.  We are hoping to share acts of kindness that you can complete with your children, ideas and activities that develop compassion in young children, and other posts that will correlate with this topic.  We would love to have our readers share ideas, inspirations, and thoughts as our “Kids and Kindness” project comes alive.  We hope you will enjoy this series as much as we are excited to share with you and please stay tuned to next week as we will be sharing our first simple act of kindness that any family could do!
