Simple DIY Hostess Gifts

December 17, 2022

Over the next few weeks there are lots of parties: classroom parties, neighborhood parties, family parties, New Year’s Eve parties… the list goes on. I love trying to think up creative little gifts to bring to the host or hostess. These are some ideas for simple DIY hostess gifts you can make and bring along.

This year I worked with Joy Creative Shop to design my first ever collaboration with them. I hosted a hostess gift making class at a local store and wanted something really special for the guests to use on the gifts we’d be making. I reached out to Joy Creative Shop with my idea and these tags came to life!

You can order them to have on hand. They come in packs of 25. Since the holidays are around the corner, I asked if they’d also have them as printables on the site too. So you can download and print them (I recommend using cardstock to print them on) and add them to the ideas below like I did.

If you want to watch a “how to” video for the hostess gifts below head over to Instagram where I created a Reel on how to make the cocktail in a mason jar and the cutting board, towel, spoon gift.

Sweet Treat for the Host

An easy way to make a simple bakery item or box of candy look pretty and personal is to add ribbon and a tag. I added my Joy Creative Shop tags to cookies from a local bakery. These are fun to give neighbors too!

Joy Creative Shop also has their gWrap gift wrap bags. There’s a size perfect for wine bottles. I think it’s such a cute way to switch it up from the typical wine gift bags. These are another cute option for using the “Toast to the Host” gift tags!
