Tailgating Made Easy

October 28, 2015

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Rubbermaid. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

I enjoy sports, but honestly enjoy tailgating and food that goes along with sports more than actually watching them. There are so many great snacks, drinks and recipes that can be enjoyed while tailgating. From dips to wings, there are delicious options. The trouble usually comes into play when you have to transport your tasty tailgating treats to the tailgate. This season, thanks to Rubbermaid, tailgating got a lot easier.

I’ve always liked Rubbermaid’s simple, smart solutions for food storage. I like that they come with Easy Find Lids, and are all microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. Plus, 100% BPA free is important

The big Rubbermaid set with various storage container sizes is key for packing up tailgating food. For example, when sausage and peppers is your tailgating meal:

– The sausage and peppers in a large storage container

– The bread in flatter storage container

– The sauce in the tiny storage containers to easily pass around

Another Rubbermaid tailgating favorite is the Party Platter. It’s very lightweight and great for entertaining at home or taking to a social event. It’s perfect for keeping foods separated, because the large tray is broken into four parts plus there’s a smaller leak-proof Twist & Seal container in the middle. We use it a lot of Mexican food themed snacks. I’ll do salsa in the middle and then different beans, cheese, chips, etc in the base.

Sausage and peppers and Mexican chips/dips are a favorite to make and share with friends. It’s a whole lot easier to share when you have an easy way to transport the food. Whether you’re heading to a local high school game, your alma mater or a trip to the nearest stadium, tailgating really is half the fun. Having Rubbermaid storage containers on hand will help make your next tailgate a breeze. So, enjoy the game and enjoy the delicious food too!
