The Big 3-0

I’ve been pretty stressed the past few months over turning 30. It’s silly, but it just seems like a big one. Well, tomorrow is the big day & i’m excited. This weekend was filled with a neighborhood bbq, a surprise party with friends (thanks Julie!), meeting up with friends from far away & dinner with my family. I realized this weekend, I have far more than I ever imagined having by 30 years old. 

I guess the past few months made me wonder if there were things I forgot to cross off my bucket list before the big 3-0 (sky diving, bungee jumping, tattoo = all checked off in early twenties). Instead of thinking of things I “forgot to do”, I had to sit back & reflect on all I’ve been blessed with in 30 years.  I’m excited for the decades that await us & I’ll wait to feel old until at least 80.

I’ll stop counting years & start counting blessings. Tomorrow morning when I wake up, i’ll be  happy to spend the day celebrating 30 with theses two smiling faces.
